Hi Ron ,
had a great trip , quiet festival , didn't do too many events (that's why we're moving our spring week holiday to Easter next year....) but i thoroughly enjoyed everything i did do . Highlights , Mickeys Afternoon tastings at Ardbeg , superb seeing how Ardbeg matures through the years and finally comes together to give us the TEN , Uigeadail etc . The walk up to Uigeadail was fantastic , had a really good natter to Mickey and the views are fantastic up there .
Popped into Spirited soaps and gave Ailsa your regards , tell you what , wish i had hers and Mary's (from Bruichladdich) Energy !!! Who'd need wind farms !
Just under 9 weeks till we return to Islay Big Grin

Hi Gordon, this one isn't at easy as I initially thought but I think it's the Ard in Port Ellen. I have been looking for images and found a couple but they look completely different from what you posted. I still think though it's the Ard although I can't figure out what the grey structure in the middle of the image is?? Rolling Eyes

Hi Ron ,
Yup it's the Ard , what's called Swan Pool , a better view......

Have you seen this before Ron ?

Christine was saying it was done originally by Sean O'Leary , the guy who done the paintings of the locals in various Hotels across Islay and Jura , it's now repainted regularly by the local fishermen .
I've got more photos from there on my festival page .

Cheers
Gordon

No I don't recall seeing the painting of the swan but I do remember Christine told me about it, as well as about Sean O'Leary. When Christine starts talking..... have you ever had the pleasure to meet her mother at Caol Ila? Big Grin
