Whisky Cruise to Islay

The Whisky School offers six fabulous cruises from Glasgow to the Isle of Islay during the months of May to August. On the first day they travel from Glasgow to Bunnahabhain Bay while having a nosing and tasting of the great Islay Malts. The second day is informal with an afternoon cruise and shore excursion and gives the guests the opportunity to discover Islay's bars and pubs. The third night two distilleries of choice will be selected by the guests and visited, guided by Gordon Wright who's great-great-grandfather was a whisky baron from Campbeltown.

According to their blog they still have some places available. If you can spare £895 (that's all-inclusive) you can have a magnificent and unforgettable experience.

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
