Wave power on Islay explained

  Monday, March 26 2007

Already 6 months ago I wrote about the Wave Power installation on Islay near Portnahaven called a Limpet 500. Limpet means Land Installed Marine Powered Energy Transformer, 500 being the amount of Kilowatts fed into Islay's grid. Today I accidently found a very interesting video on the website from Greenpeace demonstrating the Limpet 500 system on Islay.
