View from Gigha to Islay and Jura

Douglas Wilcox lives in Glasgow and one of his Interesses is Sea Kayaking. Together with some friends they crossed the Sound of Gigha last weekend in their Kayak and made a round trip of the Isle of Gigha. A total trip of around 36 km with encounters of seals and even otters. During one night they camped on the beach, enjoying an Ardbeg single malt, and had the most wonderful views towards Islay and Jura and some amazing sunsets over the Paps of Jura. The pictures are one of the finest I have seen in a long time, so I can recommend a visit to the Blog from Douglas

The picture below was made by Arra when he visited the Isle of Gigha some weeks ago.

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
