When you're on Islay and the weather is grey and wet, you might want to spend some time indoors. Needless to say that a visit to one of the eight, soon to be nine, malt whisky distilleries is an excellent alternative for the beaches and other outdoor activities. For me it just feels great to do a distillery tour when the weather outside is really bad. After all, it's usually nice and warm inside, especially in the still room, and the dram at the end of your tour will probably taste even better when it's cold and wet outside! Below is a nice video of a tour at Bowmore Distillery on, what looks like, a very wet and grey day on Islay. Enjoy!
