Tornado on Islay

Iain Mitchell of An Glean was out fishing yesterday evening when he took a spectacular image of a tornado. Iain said: "I caught this image last night about 7.30 whilst fishing off Port Charlotte. I think the house about to be taken to the land of Oz is just south of Ardlarach between Bowmore and Laggan Point." I haven't heard of any damage and there are no reports that the tornado actually touched the ground or sea. It's great that Iain managed to capture it with his camera and wants to share it with us. Thanks very much!!

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
