Summer Views of Machir Bay Islay

Autumn is in full swing at the moment, the wind is quite strong, the Colonsay ferry is cancelled and rain has been falling almost every day in the last week, the forecast doesn't look to good either. When I was going through my images this afternoon because I'm switching computers (Windows laptop to Macbook Air) I came across these images of Machir Bay, taken when I was walking up the track to Granny's Rock and Kilchiaran Bay. This is a very rewarding walk and the views of Machir Bay improve together with the altitude as you can see below. Lovely views of Machir Bay on a warm day to remind you how beautiful the weather can be on Islay.

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
