A Very Happy Islay Visitor

Eric, a member of this blog, visited the island last year and submitted his comments today. As you can read he had a great time and has wonderful memories too:

Eric: I had the privilige of going to your beautiful Island of Islay in 2007 to see for me the Holy grail of Scotch Distilling...... BOWMORE, and to see all the other Distilleries, see the Island and absorb all the Island has to offer. We, the wife and I, stayed at a B&B run by a very nice couple, Deadre and her Husband, in there home (Lyrabuscroft) at bridgend and it was fantastic. We hope to one day return and try again a "wee Dram" from Bowmore.

Thanks again ISLAY
Eric/Anne

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
