One Person Died in Crash on Islay

I just picked up the following sad news from the BBC Website:
Man dead and two injured in crash
A man has died and two others injured in a road crash on Islay, police have revealed. The accident happened in Port Ellen at about 2110 BST on Saturday when a Volvo car left the road near Kildalton Cross and hit a tree. The emergency services were called, but a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other occupants of the car, both also aged 33, were airlifted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening. Strathclyde Police said a report on the incident would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Update: ForArgyll just reported the following news item:
A 33 year-old man has been arrested and detained by Strathclyde Police over the fatal road crash at Port Ellen on Islay on Saturday (4th April). He is expected to appear at Campbeltown Sheriff Court tomorrow (Tuesday 7th April).
Update 2: BBC just reported:
Fatal road accident victim named A 33-year-old man who died in a road crash on Islay on Saturday night has been named by police. Jacek Kaplon, a Polish national from London, was pronounced dead at the scene after a car he was travelling in left the road and hit a tree.
