Islay Weblog on Holiday

Time for a well deserved break. I'm on holiday from May 8 to 28 and will be one week in the Scottish Highlands near Glen Coe and two weeks on Islay where we stay at the Persabus Farm. Time to relax, enjoy Islay, meet wonderful people and give the laptop a little rest. Which doesn't mean there won't be any news on the blog. I have some very nice surprises prepared in the last weeks and they will pop-up now and then and provide wonderful reading material to keep you busy during my holiday. And there are of course more than 225 posts from last year in the Directory with a lot of interesting stories as well. I took the picture above at Machir Bay in 2005 and played around a bit with Photoshop. There are no Palm Trees at Machir Bay (yet), but who knows what climate change will bring us in the future....

For now all the best to all the readers and I will bring a lot of new stories and pictures when I get back at the end of May! Take care everyone.

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
