Islay Video - The Last Pillage

The Ileach Newspaper uploaded a beautiful video titled "Lagavulin Fundraisers - The Last Pillage". The fourth and last Pillage saw three skiffs towed from Port Askaig to Tobermory where a cask was third filled with 10 year old single malt. The skiffs were then sailed/rowed to Craighouse on Jura where another third was added, and on to Ardbeg for the final third. 200 bottles will be available for auction wth all monies raised going to charities. Lagavulin Fundraisers have so far distributed over £100,000 and hope to add another £20,000 to this total with the proceeds of their last Pillage.

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
