Islay Panorama North of Ballygrant

When I was going through my Islay pictures this morning I came across a nice series of pictures taken from the roadside between Ballygrant and Port Askaig. It's funny to see how some memories stick in ones brain. Although it's almost four years ago that I took these pictures I can still vividly remember the moment, which was of course better than a picture can ever tell. It was quite a magical moment with the sun rising over the Paps of Jura and not a sound to be heard apart from a few song birds. If there ever comes a time that I forget this moment, which I doubt, I will at least have the photographs to remind me, and know I shared them with you!

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
