Islay Festival Sunday 31 May

Today is the last official day of the festival, a day to relax, look back a wee bit and to enjoy the warm and sunny weather. It was fun for me to bring the day to day events, reports and videos from the Ileach. I noticed I have missed a couple of their videos earlier in the week and will post them later today or next week. I have to thank Susan Campbell for her every day writings, Mark Unsworth for his pictures, specially the picture of the homecoming parade to honour the Islay emergency service was very impressive, and I want to thank the Ileach Staff for creating all these wonderful videos of the open days at the distilleries. It's a great initiative and I hope many interesting videos will follow. I also hope all the readers found the updates on the blog just as interesting as I did. From now on it's back to more regular blogging but before I end here is the final overview of todays events:

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
