One Ferry Timetable until Sunday 27th June

Due to technical problems of the Calmac M.V Clansman ferry (image right), that sails the routes from Oban to Coll and Tiree and Oban to Lochboisdale (South Uist), the second (spare) Islay ferry was sent to Oban to cover for the Clansman. This means that the Islay route is currently serviced with one ferry. Yesterday Calmac thought it would last until Sunday but tonight was announced that the one vessel timetable will operate from Saturday 19 June – Sunday 27 June 2010 incl. Below is the altered timetable:

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
