ForArgyll Awards - Support Islay Now

There is little time left to nominate websites/organisations for this years ForArgyll awards. As you can read on the ForArgyll website nominations can still be submitted and the nomation phase will close on Wednesday evening the 23rd of December, that's tomorrow!! Islay nominees are doing excellent in the ForArgyll awards nomination phase and if you want to support them it's vital that you visit the nominations page and submit your favourite website/organisation in the various categories. Nominees should receive as much support as possible to enter the final stage. The contestants that end up on nr one, two and three of each category will become finalists and can ultimately win an award. The finalists will be announced on Thursday 24th December after which the final voting starts. Continue reading

Islay is very well represented and at the moment of writing 22 Islay websites are nominated. It's important that we support them, only then we can hopefully see some Islay related award winners. I gave an overview below of the Islay related nominees so far and it's up to you to push them up the rankings in order to enter the final stage. Here we go and don't forget to vote:

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
