Christmas Charity Run in Port Ellen

In June I wrote about the Port Ellen JogScotland group for the first time. Jim Lutomski from Port Ellen (image right) took the initiative for this Jogging Group and he sent me the following information and image about the upcoming 5K christmas charity run on Islay:

Want to earn that Christmas pudding and do some good for others? Port Ellen JogScotland Group are organising a Christmas 5K fun run to support the work of The Salvation Army. It's at 1pm on Sunday the 20th. of December. Assembly and start is at the picnic area opposite Port Ellen Maltings. Entry forms are available from Gordon 01496300086 Jim 07760 196 692 or Clare 01496302311. Entry on the day up till 12.30pm. Entry fee is £5 (£3 for Scottish Athletics members) and donations are very welcome. The theme is "Angels and Shepherds", though wise men, inn-keepers etc. are welcome too; as are wheelchairs and prams! Refreshments to revive you afterwards in the Columba Hall provided by The Salvation Army.
