Bruichladdich 12yr old wins prestigious award

Bruichladdich Distillery has another prize winning whisky. This time the Bruichladdich 12-year-old single malt whisky has become the only UK spirit to be awarded the top three-star rating in the International Taste & Quality Institute's Superior Taste Awards. The distillery's whisky is claimed to be the purest in Scotland and derives its creamy texture and long finish to the group's artisanal techniques that date back to the late 1880s.

The International Taste & Quality Institute Superior Taste Awards are held annually and draws contestants from all over the world to Brussels. This year, 601 products from 58 countries have been evaluated by iTQi. 7% of the products were granted with the 3 stars Award, amongst this select group was Bruichladdich, 33% with 2 stars and 25% with one star.

Congratulations to the Bruichladdich Distillery Team!

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
