Today Manuela and myself arrived home from a magnificent trip to Islay which lasted almost three weeks. We have met many wonderful people and had some brilliant weather with sunshine and the odd shower. Unfortunately in the meanwhile the weblog was down due to a hack but I managed to restore almost everything. The Media Gallery is still offline and will be restored in the next few days. My apologies to the readers who have missed the usual updates and the blog itself.

I took almost 2000 pictures on Islay and have a lot of stories to tell which will follow in the coming weeks. For starters I would like to share some of the pictures I took and promise to show lots and lots more.

How about this stunning sunset at Saligo Bay

And the Soldiers Rock at the Oa Peninsula, the place where I hurt my back really bad and had to go to the hospital in Bowmore for treatment. Thanks to the staff of the hospital and specially to Liz Renfrew who helped me out so wonderfully well :-). Particularly thanks to Rosemary, Donald and Arra Fletcher who helped us out in finding accommodation during the busy Islay festival.

The last image for now: the almost tropical looking Lossit Bay

Thanks for your patience and there is lots and lots more to come so HASTE YE BACK!
