Looking for Islay Models

I'm posting this message on behalf of Lorna McLean, a member of the Islay Forum. She made an appeal on the forum and to give her some more publicity we decided to post her question on the blog.

I am coming to the island on the 21st of November for a few days to complete a photographic assignment for college. I stayed on the island for a summer when I was in my teens (many years ago!) and I would like to revisit with fresh ideas. I am looking for some island residents who are willing to have there photographs taken. I am just looking for everyday people in everyday jobs. Any portraits I take will be given a 10x8 copy as way of a thank you for your time. I would appreciate any offers and will be willing to travel all over the island and shoot at suitable time. I am interested in farmers, fishermen, bus drivers, any body with a story, all the people we can't do without in our daily lives. Please contact me at lorna.mclean3@ntlworld.com. Thanks very much for your help.

As an example I posted one of Islay's top models doing every day jobs :-)

The Maggie

Buy The Maggie from Amazon The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. It is however a 'gem' in the true sense of the word. The film has everything, humour, tragedy, pathos, romance. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time!
